AMALGAM was asked to plan an incremental renovation of an upper west side garden apartment. The alcove kitchen was enlarged to create more of a relationship with the living space and the large large existing window in the living room was converted to a historically appropriate steel door to allow flow outside to the beautiful garden without having to go through the bedroom.
